Jeanette Davis has been teaching for many years. She has spent 30 years teaching Reading, and is excited to join the Title I Reading team at LRES this year.


Apryl Hunley has been teaching since 2003. She taught at LRES from 2010-2016, was a Title I teacher at Altavista Elementary School from 2016 to 2020, and tackled the pandemic as a virtual teacher for the past two years. Mrs. Hunley is excited to return to LRES this year as a Title I Reading teacher. She is an alumna of the University of Lynchburg; Curriculum and Instruction '08 and Educational Leadership '18. Mrs. Hunley is also a proud graduate of Virginia Tech. Go Hokies! She lives with her husband, Ryan, and their two children, Tyler (6) and Hannah (3). Mrs. Hunley loves spending time with her family.


Lindsey Sherman has been teaching since 2015. She began teaching in a first grade classroom, and then she found her love for teaching reading and moved to the Title I classroom. She loves being able to work with students in all stages of reading. Mrs. Sherman is earning her Master's Degree in Reading from the University of Lynchburg. She lives with her husband, daughter, and their dog Jax. Her favorite things include spending time at Smith Mountain Lake, playing volleyball, and cooking.
