Mr. Carmichael graduated from Liberty University in 2011 with a Bachelor’s of Instrumental Music Education. He is a native of Campbell County and a graduate of Rustburg High School. He has experience working with various elementary, middle, and high school music programs in the area. Through this, he has found that his true passion is teaching elementary music and loves working with the students of LRES and TES! In his free time, Mr. Carmichael enjoys metal detecting, gardening, home improvement projects, and spending time with his wife and sons. He also plays with the praise band at Hyland Heights Baptist Church.

Mrs. Watson has been teaching elementary music for several years (the exact number is confidential information so that way you won't know how old she is!) and she loves it! She graduated from Lynchburg College with a Bachelors of Arts in Music, Magna Cum Laude and has continued her education at various classes and workshops. Mrs. Watson is happily married to her husband and they have two sons (with big appetites!). Mrs. Watson rings in Bells of the Blue Ridge (along with Mr. Marks) and directs the choirs at Rustburg UMC. She enjoys exercising, reading, and catching up on her never-ending "to do" list.
