Mrs. Stinnett grew up in Bedford, Virginia. She graduated from Liberty High School and then from Longwood College, receiving a degree in Physical Education, Health, and Driver Education.
She started her career at Staunton River Middle School before coming to Campbell County. She was a teacher and softball coach at Brookville Middle and High Schools before making the switch to elementary. Mrs. Stinnett is now in her fifth year teaching at Leesville Road. She also teaches at Tomahawk Elementary in the afternoon.
In her free time, Mrs. Stinnett enjoys spending time with her family. She loves watching her children play sports and playing with the family’s new puppy!
Mrs. Olivas grew up just down the road in Concord, Virginia. She and her younger brother attended school at Concord Elementary before transferring to Appomattox County Schools. Her mother had accepted a job as the Appomattox Elementary school librarian at that time.
After graduating high school, Mrs. Olivas went on to Longwood College to get her degree in Physical Education and Health. She spent her first three years teaching Physical Education in Lynchburg City before accepting a job here at LRES. This is her 23rd year teaching. She loves her job and enjoys learning and sharing new activities with her students.
Some of her extracurricular activities include spending time with her husband, two boys and other family, reading, cooking, working out and watching movies.
