Office Hours During School Closure

posted Mar 31, 2020, 10:36 AM by Ken Marks   [ updated Mar 31, 2020, 10:38 AM ]

Beginning April 1, 2020, our office hours will be 10:00 AM - 2:00 PM.

If you have questions, please first email your child's teacher, or you can email one of our administrators.

FAQs:

1.  When will students be allowed to get materials from their classrooms?
At this time, we are not allowing students into the building to get their materials.  Senior administration within the school division will be working on a plan for this and you will receive information once the plan is finalized.  If your child left their glasses in their classroom, please contact Mr. Slater and/or Mr. Marks.

2.  When can I pick up my child's medication that was left in the clinic?
Please contact Mr. Slater or Mr. Marks to arrange pick-up of this medication.

3.  How can I turn in my child's library book(s)?
If your child has an LRES library book, please hang on to it until we allow you to get your child's materials from their classroom.

4.  What about this year's yearbook?
This year's yearbook has been submitted to the publisher.  We are working on a plan for purchasing these in the safest manner possible.

5.  How will I be getting spring pictures?
At this time, the company that prints our pictures has put a hold on all printing.  Again, we will be working on a plan to distribute those in the safest manner possible once printing resumes.

We appreciate everyone's patience during this crisis.  This is new territory for everyone.  Please remember that at this time, our first priority is the health and safety of everyone in the LRES community.

Congratulations to everyone in the LRES family for earning the Virginia Board of Education Distinguished Achievement Award!

According to the governor's news release, we earned this because we "met all state and federal benchmarks and made progress toward the goals of the Governor and the Board of Education."

Teachers, students, and parents all played a role in this accomplishment and should be proud of your hard work.

More information can be found here on the local news website and on the Virginia Department of Education website:
